W came up for the weekend, and we decided to visit Ground Zero, namely the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
I highly recommend everyone to visit the museum if possible – it is an emotional experience for all. I think one of the survivors said it best when he spoke of the firefighters and rescuers, “they were climbing up to die so we could walk down to live.”
I love this piece by an artist who wanted to paint the sky on 9/11. No shade of blue was the same but yet they form one cohesive image. Each letter was made from the original steel of the towers.
On Sunday, W and I drove to Connecticut to see the Hough siblings’ MOVE Tour.
Julianne and Derek are the true definition of triple threat – entertaining us for two hours by singing, dancing, and acting. The tickets were W’s first year anniversary present to me (paper!).
As a side note, we had a lovely brunch on Saturday at Tiny & The Bar Upstairs in Tribeca. The tater tots were amazing!
All in all, we had a great weekend together. Congrats to our friends who got engaged this weekend! Hope you all had a great time as well!
